Get Your Energy Back

Why You’re Tired

Your business isn’t what’s making you tired, even though it seems that way. Avoiding your emotions is what drains most of your energy. It takes effort to resist uncomfortable feelings.

The problem is, we never really avoid the feeling. We just trade one bad feeling for another. The energy cost of that trade is what wears us out. There’s a pattern to it:

You don’t want to feel X, so you don’t do Y, and instead you feel Z.

It looks like this:

– You don’t want to feel rejected, so you don’t ask for the contract, but then you feel anxious when the numbers are down.

– You don’t want to feel vulnerable, so you don’t raise your profile, but then you feel frustrated when the pipeline dries up.

– You don’t want to feel guilty, so you don’t let the nonperformer go, but then you feel overwhelmed doing too much yourself.

The Hidden Tax

We try to fool ourselves. Tweaking the website instead of hiring the A Player. Reading about a conference instead of asking for the contract. Checking the dashboard instead of building the marketing plan.

The safety we think we’re creating by avoiding uncomfortable emotions isn’t safe at all. It’s sabotage. Each delay converts into another day of scattered focus, another week without the right person in the role, another month of missed financial targets. The tax compounds.

Inner → Outer

Your business reflects your level of consciousness in two areas:

1. The Inner Dimension contains your thoughts and feelings.
2. The Outer Dimension is where you see actions and results.

When you become aware of what you’re avoiding on the inside, you can address it before you take action on the outside. Then momentum returns. That’s the way to create the reality you choose.

Feelings are just vibrations in the body. They pass. The signal isn’t the enemy. The avoidance is.

A Practice You Can Use

Here’s a snapshot of one way I work with founders, and a process I use myself. It takes 1-2 minutes:

1. Name it. Rejection. Embarrassment. Inadequacy.

2. Locate it. Chest, throat, stomach.

3. Breathe until it softens. Slow inhales and exhales.

4. Ask one question. “How do I want to feel instead?”

5. Vividly recall a time when you felt that way. Feel it in your body.

6. Identify the next required action and take that step.

Send the pricing email. Post the offer. Book the interview with the superstar.

Seven-day Awareness Drill

If you want extra credit, at the end of each day write your top three negative feelings in a journal. Circle the one that showed up the most. Write one sentence about how it slowed you down. Once you see it, you can’t unsee it. Then take one small step tomorrow that would have been blocked yesterday

That’s it. Awareness first. Clean action second. Results follow.

To hear the lived example behind this, I tell the story in this week’s short video about our first seven-figure project, the expensive “certainty” I tried to buy, and the moment I stopped trading one bad feeling for another. It’s short and practical.

A founder’s business reflects your level of consciousness. Once you become aware of the way your inner and outer experience is connected, you can create any reality you choose. If you’re ready to evolve, schedule 20 minutes with me.
