Most founders have a bias for action. It’s almost always a superpower.
More action = more results.
But sometimes it works against you. Especially if you don’t believe.
It looks like this: You launch a new product/service and take massive action. But doubt creeps in. You start and stop. Change directions. Get distracted by competition.
Doubt is deadly.
Manage your mind instead. Start with your beliefs. Beliefs are thoughts you’ve reinforced until they’re true for you. They act like instructions to your mind.
The good news is you can believe anything you want. So believe you can do it. Whatever it is.
If you’re stuck, look for conflicting or hidden beliefs. How do you find hidden beliefs? Notice how you feel.
When you feel frustrated, anxious or worried, it’s because of conflicting and hidden beliefs like:
We need to be the best, but…
Others are better than us. We don’t know what to do. We don’t have enough time. It’s like driving with one foot on the gas and one on the brake.
Take charge of your mind.
1. We can be as good or better
2. Decide+Act+Evaluate+Iterate
3. We have all the time we need
You get to choose your beliefs. So choose ones that serve you.
